Sarah tells them that it’s a condition that inhibits her ability to process things and remains organized, but – to focus on the positive aspects – it can lead to musical proficiency, giving her greater musical potential than most people have.
Of course, it’s sometimes hard to avoid saying the wrong thing.
But one surefire way is to practice being empathetic – that is, taking into consideration what your audience appreciates, their situation, and how you would want to be treated if you were in their position.
